Feby's Racing
The DiFebo family has been involved in Hydroplane and Runabout racing since 1955.
Originally, it was Philip and his brothers that did the racing and the work on the boats.
In 1974, however, Philip left the race scene to open Feby's Fishery while his brothers
continued to carry on the race tradition. In 1989 Philip got back into the race circuit,
and this time with the financial support of a successful business, his. He also had three
sons that were more than willing to take part in one of the family's favorite hobbies.
It didn't take long for those same sons to take part in another DiFebo racing tradition, winning.
That very next season marked the start of a decade of victories, titles, and championships.
Now, the Feby's Racing Team has entered a new millennium in the quest for more victories and
even higher accolades.
Feby's Racing currently competes under the Stock Outboard and Modified boat racing divisions
of the Amarican Outboard Federation and the American Power Boat Association. Basically, these
boats are like high powered Go-Karts on water. We race
on a one and a quarter mile oval at speeds of 35 to 80 mph
with flying starts and up to 12 boats
per heat.
Stock Outboard racing is outboard powered boat
racing with commercially available equipment running on standard gasoline. The Modified
Outboard division races similar boats but with swapped out parts to increase performance.
Feby's currently races both Hydroplanes and Runabouts in nine classes between the two divisions.
